We acknowledge and respect the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory we live on as uninvited guests. The Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day, have stewarded this land since time immemorial. We owe this land, and these peoples, our respect, gratitude & dedication to learning & decolonizing ourselves & the spaces we exist in.

On March 22nd, 2024, CFUV Vinyl Envy proudly presents a stellar lineup featuring three incredible bands:
Niloo (Dream Pop | Shoegaze | Folk)
Bandcamp | Spotify | Instagram
Uniquely otherworldly and humming with fuzzy nostalgia, Niloo blends shoegaze, dreampop, folk, and pre-revolution Iranian pop into a fabric of sound. Both a musician and visual artist, Niloo explores these mediums from her home on Lekwungen Territory (Victoria, BC, Canada).
Hope City Waters (Indie Folk Soul)
Bandcamp | Instagram
HopeCity Waters is your 1970’s poet dad on the porch with a coffee and a cigarette’s favourite band. They hold the folk-soul sound you’d want to listen to before, during, and/or after a good cry. Moody, warm, and above all, honest, they are reminiscent of bands like Big Thief and Frazey Ford. It’s clear that each member of HopeCity Waters brings to the table heart, passion, and intuition. The band’s abstract yet effective lyricism could not be conveyed any more perfectly than with Maita’s sultry, powerful voice. Whatever mood you are in, their music will elevate it.
Shark Bite Spite (Synth Folk | Alternative)
Bandcamp | Spotify | Instagram
Shark Bite Spite is Tamsen, Bennett, Stella, Rylan, and their shark-shaped capo. Starting in 2021 with A Score for Daydreams, it has been an ongoing indie-rock-centric project, iterating over different instrumentations through the years. They released their self titled album in September last year.
