Vinyl Envy Presents: Sam Lynch, Sam Tudor

Fri. November 19th 8pm - 10pm doors at 7pm (All Ages)
_____SAM LYNCH_____
Sam Lynch is a Vancouver based singer-songwriter who makes wallflower hush-rock music that will stare you down and slow your breathing. Since the release of her 2017 single “Mess You Made” and 2018 EP “Light and Lines”, Lynch has been gathering a dedicated audience by way of confessional songwriting and evocative live performances. Lynch's self-reflective, cathartic debut record "Little Disappearance" was released in October 2020 on Winnipeg label Birthday Cake to widespread acclaim. Since its release, "Little Disappearance" has collected millions of streams, charted on NACC radio, and earned a nomination for Breakout Artist of the Year at the WCMAs

_____SAM TUDOR______
Sam Tudor is an individual person, but also the title of a project involving a large group of friends across Canada. It is a solo project AND a D.I.Y. collective effort. The underpinnings of the songs are genre-less; jazz players join forces with Eno inspired beats while acoustic guitars meet distorted synths. What unifies the project is Tudor’s distinct voice: a sandy, melancholic narrator, leaning in close with writing that is often an act of self-exposure - a confessional and cathartic outpouring. The band’s live show is a communal affair, moving from hushed tones to bombastic walls of sound and back again. The Georgia Straight calls the band “a gem, with a penchant for everything left field” while Beatroute Magazine describes the project as “beautifully self aware, sonically interesting, and masterful”. Their new album, Two Half Words, will be out in 2021.

We are happy to announce that Vinyl Envy is back to hosting live music on our stage!!
With the help of FACTOR and Creative BC from Sept 17th we welcome a weekly lineup of stellar artists to our intimate record store and stage.

Here's the nuts and bolts of it...

We are operating within the guidelines of Step 3 of the B.C Restart Plan.
Because of this our capacity right now is limited to 30. We will be selling tickets in pairs only. The tickets are seated and safely distanced so bring a friend from your bubble.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance through the Eventbrite event page. If tickets remain they will be available at the door on the night of the show. Seat allocation is first come first serve. You decide where you wish to sit. We also have a private patio/smoking area at the side of our building for you to use.

Vaccine check at the door? Yes. We need to play by the PHO rules, no exceptions. Masks are not required to be worn when seated but please wear one all other times. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available at the door. There will be sanitization of all high-contact surfaces before and after events and sanitization of high-contact surfaces that are used by multiple parties (bathroom, door handles etc) while events are in progress.
We want to ensure that all our guests are comfortable in our space and that you are aware of what to expect ahead of time. It's a small space where everyone needs to feel safe.

Thank you for your support and understanding and can't wait to see y'all!!
